Katherine Forsberg - Instructional Design and Delivery

Katherine Forsberg has a passion for learning, teaching and designing curriculum.  One of the biggest influences for Katherine was her middle school science teacher, Thomas Meagher, who had a talent for tapping into his students’ intrinsic curiosity and wielding it into a profound learning moment.  After receiving a BA at Rutgers University and a graduate degree in Science Education at Arcadia University, she taught Biology at a high school for academically gifted girls in England as well as a middle school in the center of the Pennsylvania Amish Country.  After moving to Minnesota, Katherine educated at-risk youth in North Minneapolis in all the sciences, helping gang-members graduate high school and move onto college.

Realizing that many students do not fit into the traditional classroom model due to various socio-economic influences, she furthered her education receiving another Masters in Online Instructional Design in order to design virtual science courses for students who need flexibility with time and pacing in their studies as well as other accommodations to ensure their success with meeting the academic standards. Katherine is now happy to be working as an intern at 24/7 Teach, a company compatible with her own passions and beliefs in regard to education, in order to learn, grow and develop as an instructional designer.
